Lioness 1 was delivered in 1998 after taking over a year to build.  460HP Caterpillar 3406C 14.6 litre engine (a detuned 525 bhp which will briskly be back up there. ) 6 speed Alison electric powershift gearbox with torque converter and lock-up clutch. All  water / hydraulic hard piping in 2.5mm stainless.  Straight rubber water hoses with two stainless band clamps per end . Twin circuit high output electric operated hydraulics, with six double auxiliary outlets. Air seat finished in brown hide with black piping.  Tyres -  Twin 650 x 38 - Goodyear. At the time of it's HSE sound test, this was the quietest tractor that Silsoe had ever tested, and is said to be much quieter than the other more famous marques which have followed in her footsteps. Hours so far - 5240. Might stay here and join the collection. (although exactly what a 525 bhp tractor AND a 650 bhp tractor would find to do for entertainment on 750 acres, might pose a question !  Some bright spark commented that since the other is a Tiger, they should get married. However this type of cross breeding doesn't work).   Well she moved on, but with a proviso. I have one year to find something bigger for the client to make up for the new tractor, which he had originally ordered, but was withdrawn due to axle problems. We may be forced to make something seriously substantial......Anyone in the know remember mention of that 760 bhp design of ours from 2001 ? Quite a Challenge !
