IC Bloodaxe built Morrison design IC wins Inland Championships, with Bloodaxe design and built IC 'Tin Teardrop' runner up. Sailed at Landeggfed reservoir April 25th and 26th. Conditions were challenging on the Saturday, with gusts to 30 knots ( the worst conditions ever for sailing on the lake according to the locals ), with Andy Paterson in Tin Teardrop only finishing one race, and Phil Robin in Scarlett O'Hara not starting either race. Sunday the wind was very light and shifty, Phil winning most races, with Andy a first and a few seconds. The 'new' ICs appear to be consistently faster than the one-design IC (ICOD) but are trickier to sail well in a good breeze.

Modifications progressing on the Bloodaxe designed and Built IC 'Tin Teardrop' The mods are intended to make the boat easier to sail, including more rocker, moving the mast aft, lifting the boom, and a conventional bolt-rope sail. |
