Bus / Taxi

Turn left at the gates, walk past the traffic lights and you will see the bus-stop on your left. All buses passing go into Bath City Centre, to catch a returning bus you can catch the number 14 from outside the Royal Hotel (opposite the railway station). The stop to ask for is "the Weston Pub".
There are two main taxi ranks in the City Centre, one is located at the railway station and the other at the side of the Abbey, we a re 10 Newbridge Road.

Telephones

There are public telephones (coin & credit card) on the corner just a minute walk from the house, turn right at the gate.

Restaurants

The Desh Indian restaurant is closest, turn right at the gate and right at the corner, it can be found on Chelsea Road on the left hand side. The other option is the Boathouse pub/restaurant on the bank of the River Avon. It is about twenty minutes walk, turn right at the gate and stay on the right hand side.
Otherwise Bath City Centre has a wide and varied selection of restaurants, I can recommend the Royal Hotel grill, please enquire for a sample menu and directions

Facilities

Chelsea Road shopping parade (right at the gate and right at the next corner) has a supermarket open from 8am to 11pm each day, there is also a chemist on the same parade. For the Post Office, turn right at our gate and when you reach the corner of Chelsea Road you will see it over the road (Newbridge Road) at the lights.
There is also a bank, just turn right at the gate and it's just a few buildings down on the right hand side.

Churches

There is a Methodist Church in Kennington Road, turn right at the gate, right at the corner into Chealsea Road, services are on Sunday at 10:30. The nearest Anglican Church is St John the Evangelist, turn left at the gate and keep walking for about ten minutes, this has services on Sunday at 10am. The Catholic Church is in Julian Road (fifteen to twenty minutes walk) and holds masses on Sunday at 9am, 11am and 4:30pm.
