Please come and insult us on the new sparkly, spangly BAIT FORUM. Go on you know you want to.

25/02/04 - ya gads. It's been a while since I updated this page. Since the full Bait site went up I've left all that to Snapa, I'm just a lazy good fer nuthin'. You better believe it.

So we've been working on the Bait album, it should have all been long done and dusted by now. Foolishly I'd decided on a title prior to recording, 'The Anatomy of Disaster', which I think has turned into a prophecy rather than an album title. But we're almost there (I hope), just have to go back into the studio to re-record a couple of the tracks that were on the demo as IATDE recs were keen for us to include them. They're paying so who are we to argue. Other tracks so far recorded include 1 - Automated Bullshit Generator. 2 - 364 and counting (Rise of the maggots). 3 - Descender. 4 - Monochromatic. 5 - Forked Tongue Evolution. 6 - Hangman. 7 - To skin a Chameleon. We had recorded a further track (an instrumental) 'As the Crow Flies', but it's looking like we'll be holding this back for another release now. Anyway, hopefully this will now all be seeing the light of day in April, just need to get on and do all the artwork now. In the meantime, local folk can catch us making some noise at the Marquee in Norwich on Sat March 5th alongside Narcosis, Army of Flying robots, Patient Zero and Bleed 13. Should be a good un'

- The new BAIT demo 'Every Lie I've Ever Lived' is finally done and dusted and is this very moment being pressed up. Hopefully we'll have a few boxes ready to sell by the end of the week. Please contact us via the email address at the bottom of the page for details if you're interested in getting hold of a copy. Most of the initial pressing are going out to labels, mags etc as promos. So if you want to reserve one of the few left we'll be selling let us know. Don't fret though, we'll get more pressed up as and when needed, we just don't want to start off with a house full of unsold c.ds, we've all learnt that lesson in previous bands ;oP

21/4/03 - Thanks to everyone who came out to our gig on April 19th with Clockwork Psycho, PDHM and Lapsed Pacifist. We had a total blast and couldn't be happier with how it went. Cheers to Errol and Kim for putting us on. There would have been a full gallery of live shots but the guy who was taking some pro quality photos let someone borrow his camera to look at the pics while he went to the toilet and they accidentally wiped the cameras memory....doh!! Thankfully some friends took some snapshots. Read a review of the gig on the plug studios website

Also, I'm really pleased to announce that the long, lost DIE KREUZEN tribute album that BAIT recorded a track for back in 1997 is finally seeing the light of day. I just received word from Mark of the U.S label EROSION RECORDS that the release of the album is immanent. As soon as I have details of the full track listing how to get hold of this I'll put it up here. For the uneducated out there, DIE KREUZEN were one of the most amazing and cruelly underrated bands ever. They hailed from Millwauke U.S and exploded onto the scene in the early 80's with one of the most stunning, savage and seminal HC albums of the time. That was only the beginning though. They surprised and shocked many from the closed minded HC elite by going on to release increasingly twisted and left field rock albums. In many ways, I see what they did as similar to what CAVE IN are doing now, i.e not sticking to the safe path and doing their own thing, staying true to themselves and making some of the most awesome and truly emotional albums ever. We've butchered a version of Stomp which was on their third (and in my mind) best album, CENTURY DAYS. We don't even begin to come close to doing them justice but I'm just privileged to be involved at all. I don't know how easy it is to get hold of their back catalogue (they split up many moons ago) but they were on TOUCH AND GO recs, I'd recommend you go and search them out. Mid.

Check out this semi-official DIE KREUZEN website for everything you ever wanted to know.

Ex DK vocalist Dan Kubinski is now in a new band DECAPITADO who have a new album out very soon,
