Welcome to the Millennial Zoophile Community Awards!

1999 has been a year of greatly mixed fortunes in the zoo community. Some of the leading lights in our world have had great sadnesses, but for the community as a whole there have also been good times. As well as the downs, there have been many positive moments, and some just plain bewildering ones. This was the year when Forbidden Love documentary, and the rather notorious Jerry Springer show aired on TV, and got shared around the world on the net. It was the year zooishness replaced the great zeta list as the list of choice. It was a year when we saw zooishness, if only so briefly, eclipsed by the truly unique Petzoolove list. Lists, websites, and services of all kinds have sprung up around the world in many languages, and despite the efforts of our enemies we have more services running for more zoophiles all over the globe than when we started this year.

A very few years ago we wouldn't have been able to share any of these things, but now just at the end of the twentieth century, for the first time in history zoophiles all around the globe can communicate together their joys and our troubles. The internet means we are no longer all completely isolated, and so we are taking the first steps in discovering that we share a culture and a history that trancends national boundaries. We are so priviledged to have had that happen in our lifetimes, and so we now pause just briefly to honour those who have been the leading contributors to all this new communication we enjoy, the pioneers of the 20th century, before we enter upon the 21st century, with all the hopes and fears that the new era will hold for us.

Awards always seem to produce unexpected results, and these are no exception. Be cheered and perplexed by just who got what.

Without further ado I now present the awards voted to the members of our community - some Unicorns for some unique people.
