Friday 19th September

9.30pm - Mullen’s

Official Opening and Traditional Session

Official Opening by John Molloy (Chairman Cootehill CCE)

Session with special guests from Leitrim: Dave Sheridan Flute, Pairic Mc Govern Pipes, Donal Reilly Accordion, John Mc Cartin Guitar joined by local musicians.

 

Saturday 20th September

3pm - Don Smith’s

Ulster Singing / Storytelling Session

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Geraldine Bradley  - traditional singer in Irish & English

 

 

Mick Quinn Mullaghbawn Traditional singer and storyteller.

Cathal McConnell from the ‘Boys of the Lough’ - traditional singer & collector, with a large repertoire of Ulster songs.

The afternoon will finish with a traditional session with some musician friends from Ulster playing a few tunes.

 

Saturday Night Sessions

10.30pm – Traditional Sessions in:

Don Smith’s - Peter Horan (Flute) & Gerry Harrington (fiddle) joined by other musicians.

Bannon’s - Angelina Carberry (banjo) & Martin Quinn (accordion) joined by Ring of Gullion musicians and friends.

Hannigan’s – Musicians from the Cunningham and Brady families joined by Richard Lyons (bodhran).

Fergus Donaghue’s - Siobhan Fay (banjo), Fionnuala Fay (fiddle), Ray Lawlor (accordion), Billy Murray (flute),  Gary Cosgrove (bouzouki), Milo Fitzgerald (bodhran), Joe McIntyre (songs) and other local musicians.

Mullen’s - Mickey McDonnell (banjo, bouzouki, songs), Hugh P Donohoe (banjo, songs), Sean McEntee (accordion) and friends.

 

Sunday 21st September

3.30pm - Open Air Afternoon Session:

Session for young and old with Patrick Martin Flute / Pipes, Ceoltóirí Drumlin, Cunningham and Brady families and musicians from Cootehill, Cavan, Monaghan, Louth, Armagh and Down.

 

7pm - Mullen’s

Closing Session

Sean McCague and Laura Beagon from Monaghan will perform the closing session for the weekend.  All musicians welcome.
