The Gerry Whelan event started on July 8, 2005, with a memorial concert, organised by Martin Donohoe & the NYAH group, where musicians and friends of the late Gerry Whelan gathered to pay tribute to one of the true friends of music, musicians and music lovers. Since then it has become a weekend event, and has grown from strength to strength. |
