This Pike was caught by William McGonigill from Kilbirnie Loch…it weighed in excess of 26lb. There is some doubt as to the validity of this specimen….it has been said that it is stuffed and is on loan from a taxidermist. I cannot confirm or deny this claim. I do know, however, that the Pike is absolutely genuine and is currently frequenting a favoured spot in the loch. It has also been noted that Mr McGonigill seems to enter a trance like state in local pubs…..this is preceded by a request for him to buy a drink.
