Dogs we have homed
Meg is a smooth coated collie X. She is 9 years old, house trained and very good with children. Sadly her owner has had to go into care and cannot take her. She is a lovely steady dog and is looking for a new loving home. We will have a picture of Meg nearer the end of the week. Meg is good with children and other dogs, she lived with lady who can no longer look after her due to poor health
Stella is a 12 month old tri-colour Border collie bitch. She is a typical Border Collie bitch, being affectionate and good with Children. She is in need of further training, although she is very good off the lead and is house trained. Stella is vaccinated, wormed, flea-treated and will be neutered soon. Stella would be suitable for experienced Border Collie owners.
Aysha has gone to her new home today. She loves her new big brother, Collie X Zac, and is even behaving herself with house rabbit, Buggsy!! She has fit in very quickly, being taught all the right things to do - and the things not to do by her new 2 legged family!! (Homed through website!!) Aysha is a medium sized, smooth coated x breed. She is about 5 years old and is very friendly. She desperately wants to be part of a family.  She has been neutered, started her vaccinations and is wormed and has been flea treated.
Rag's Story Rags is now homed and is coming on really well.  For a little dog who has lived the entire 12 months of his life in a shed with virtually no human contact and very little food, he is incredible.
"Rio has found a loving home on a small holding "over the border", with plenty of space to run free to his hearts content... what a happy dog he will be with his new found family!" Rio  A Mainly black Labradore x Staffy.  Rio is a 7 month old male who is already neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.  He is a lovely friendly personality, a very exuberant dog who needs further training, he is good with Children and Cats.
Charlie's turn has come at last. He has gone to his new home today where he has a new mum and dad and 3 children to share his life. Charlie's gentlemanly behaviour won him his home. He was so good. He travelled to his new home in style, sat in the back of the car as though he had always belonged. He has been for a couple of walks, met the cats and (not sure he was too happy about this!!) has had a bath. His silky, shiny coat is gleaming even more now!! You waited over a month for your new home Charlie, I'm sure it was worth waiting for!! Charlie is a black and tan, medium coated Collie X. He is about 5 years old and is a quiet natured affectionate dog, who just wants a home to call his own.  He is due to be neutered and start his vaccinations. He is wormed and flea treated.
Comfort will also be going to her new family after the weekend. We will tell you more then!! Comfort is a 1yr old medium sized (17 inches high) crossbreed. She is a smooth coated fawn sable. Although she has not received much training, she is picking things up nicely, she is very attentive and eager to learn. She is a little shy at first, but soon becomes friends with anyone who will give her a little Tender Loving Care. Comfort is vaccinated and wormed, and will be microchipped and neutered as soon as possible. Comfort deserves a permanent loving home, if you can offer her that, please contact us
No Photo Availible Spot has gone to her new home today - she will now be called Trio!!We will have more information and a picture at the weekend. Spot 7 month old Spot has had more trauma in her short life than is fair to anydog. At 10 weeks of age, she fell down stairs whilst playing with her owners cat. The leg proved to be so badly broken that it had to be amputated, sadly she was left with a short stump which she kept trying to use. The stump was so badly damaged by this that the skin on the end burst open. Her owners contacted us as they just couldn't afford more surgery, so we took her on. She has now been operated on by our vets, this time removing the whole shoulder blade. She has been wonderful throughout all this, when she went back to the vets for her check-up, she couldn't wait to see all the nurses again, making a fuss of all of them!! She will have her stitches removed next Monday (30.1.06) and start her vaccinations. She is a small Collie X, mainly white with a few black patches  She is a lovely family dog, good with cats and children, and longs to be part of a family again. If you think you are the family for Spot, please contact us. She isn't ready to leave us yet, but we would love to hear from anyone interested in this very special little girl.
Tessa. My name is Tessa and I love children. I can be shy at first but not for long. I love going for walks and running and I like cats and can tolerate other dogs when I get to know them. I am very loyal and give my friends unconditional love (sometimes to much) I am 2yrs old and some people think I am ugly. I need a new home where I am not on my own all the time. I will make it worth your while
Lucy update. Lucy went to her new home on Tuesday 30th Jan. She will live with Carole and Steve, their children Freya and Jevin and 48 boys!!! Steve is a housemaster at Giggleswick school in North Yorkshire, he and Carole care for 48 boys who board at the school. Lucy is thrilled to share her home with all of them, what a spoilt little dog she is!! The boys have drawn up a rota for walking her and treats keep appearing outside of the door of the living room!!  This weekend she must start her duties..........as mascot of the school rugby team, she even has her own scarf. Thank you Carole, Steve, Freya and Jevin for giving Lucy such a wonderful home. Lucy is a gold, medium coated Collie X , she is 3 1/2 years old who came to us when her owners found that another baby was on the way and they couldn't cope with a dog as well as 2 toddlers and another baby. She is very affectionate, excellent with children, good with other dogs and very good both on and off lead. She travels well. We are told that Lucy was housetrained when her owners got her as a youngster, but this has been allowed to breakdown. She is now in a foster home where this is being addressed. Progress is excellent and she will soon be 100% reliable. Lucy has started her vacs, been wormed, microchipped and is booked in for neutering. Lucy is a pretty girl, who will make an excellent family pet. She would really love to be back in a family, are you looking for a dog like Lucy?"
