| I'll go and live with my dear son
Poliphus now. My husband has become a Tyrant. He has no time for me now. He spends his
time plotting the assassination of his enemies ... they spend all their time plotting the
assassination of THEIR enemies ... and so it goes on. Perhaps one day they will realise
that Democracy was quite a good idea. I'm really pleased with my son. He has become a great scholar. All of Athens is talking about him. If only he could understand the hippopotamus in the triangle!! It's not much fun for a woman. It's a good job I still have my dowery to fall back if my husband should fall victim of one of the other 29 fools who are trying to run our city. |
