. MEMBERSHIP 1.1 Preference will be given to residents of Felbridge applying for membership. Membership from residents of other areas will be at the discretion of the Committee. 1.2 Membership will be limited to such numbers as may be determined from time to time by the committee in the light of experience of court usage. 1.3 There will be no limit on non-playing members. 1.3.1 Fees are payable on 1st March each year. 1.4 Junior Members are aged over 8 years and under 18 years on 1st March. 1.5 Student Members are aged over 18 years on 1st March and are engaged in full time education, or as may be determined at the discretion of the Committee. 1.6 Senior Playing Members are aged over 18 years on the 1st March.
2. USE OF COURTS 2.1 Junior Members are allowed to play without special restriction up to 18:00 hours from Monday to Friday inclusive subject to courts not being previously booked. Junior Members may not book courts after 18:00 Monday to Friday or at any time on Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays. They may play during these times but must give precedence to any adult wishing to play. 2.2 Junior Members may play un-supervised and may attend Club sessions but preference is for Senior members.. 2.3 Special Student Members are those who are in full-time education and only return home during holiday periods and occasional weekends. 2.4 Visitors A member may introduce one visitor on two separate occasions after which they must apply for membership of the club. A Member may bring a maximum of two guests to a club session, provided he/she has the prior permission of the Chairman or, if the Chairman is unavailable, a Committee Member. The Member concerned is responsible for the payment of visitors fees to the Hon. Treasurer or any other Member of the Committee. 2.5 Booking Unless required for coaching or matches a court may be booked in units of one hour maximum. Any person having booked a court shall have absolute priority over any other person already using the court but not having booked it. Courts may only be booked one week in advance. A diary for this purpose is to be kept/found in the clubhouse. 2.6 Club Sessions Sunday mornings 10:00 13:00 all year and Thursdays from 18:00 dusk (April Oct). No bookings are allowed and members shall play in turn. Team practice sessions shall be at the discretion of the Club Captain. Junior supervised sessions Monday 18:00 19:30 (May July). 2.7 Block Booking The Committee will consider block bookings up to 170 hours on a week day, from local organisations. The fees for such bookings will be decided individually but related to the scale of charges for visitors use. 2.8 Locking Up Members must ensure that the gate to the courts are firmly padlocked when leaving the courts. 2.9 Proof of Membership To avoid any unnecessary embarrassment, all playing Members must carry their current membership card on their person whilst using the courts.
3. DRESS 3.1 Members will not be allowed on court unless wearing suitable tennis shoes (not training shoes) and recognised tennis clothing. Tracksuits will be permitted when temperatures dictate.
4. CLUBHOUSE 4.1 Members will be responsible for ensuring that the clubhouse is kept tidy at all times. All rubbish must be removed from the clubhouse and table surfaces wiped clean. Members must ensure that the door to the clubhouse is secured during times of play and firmly closed and locked when leaving the courts.
