| As you can see there is a need for bank repair and fortification as I mentioned earlier this will be achieved with willow hurdles. The advantage with using willow to make the hurdles is two fold; they blend in nicely and willow, once cut and immersed in water, takes root very quickly. After just a few months you have substantial root hold into the bank itself and green leafed trees to provide extra cover and falling insects for the ever watchful trout.
