June Aslin 1st
July 1929 – 28th September 2009
It is with deep regret that the
Forest Radio Club announce the passing of the leader and the
inspiration of our club, who
was often affectionately known as “Aunty June”.
All will be pleased to know
that she did not suffer but died peacefully at home, sitting in her
chair.
June told family and friends
many years ago the she did not want a fuss on her passing – so
there will be no published
funeral. However, her son David has requested that instead of flowers,
could anyone who wishes, makes a donation, in her name, to the Richard
Burns Foundation.
Please can you do this via the
following web site:

The significance of this is
that June’s family knew Richard Burns as a young man and also June’s
son David, knew Michael Park.
Many will know that The Richard Burns Foundation is also joined
in memory of Michael “Beef”
Park.
June will be greatly missed by
all of us “Forests” and also by very many in the rally world and we
all owe her a debt of
gratitude for her dedication to motor sport safety. Our sympathies go to
her son and
daughter-in-law, David and Robin Aslin.
