Lemon is a cleansing, astringent, antiseptic oil. It works well on the circulation, helping to lower high blood pressure and to stem nosebleeds and minor wounds. It relieves the stuffy feeling of  colds and flu, soothes sore throats and strengthens the immune system.

For fair hair that tends to be greasy, it thoroughly cleanses and gives a beautiful shine to the hair at the same time. Lemon works well at clearing corns, verrucae and warts and removes dead skin cells. Lemon is an excellent oil for oily skin and blackheads, but it must be well diluted. [Use a third that you would normally use of any other oil].

The detoxifying properties of Lemon oil makes it a useful aid in the treatment of  cellulite and fluid retention. It is also recommended for wrinkles-again dilute well.

Contraindications-Lemon oil has a short shelf life and doesn’t keep well-store  in a cool, dark place and do not use old oil. This oil is phototoxic, so do not use before exposure to sunlight. Use sparingly, in low concentrations.

Blends well with Camomile, Geranium, Eucalyptus and Lavender.
