Congratulations to our runners
who took part in last weekend's Forres 10k.
The flat course, blue
skies & cool breeze produced some good times including a PB from
GRR's newest member Gillian Burtwell; sub-50mins next time
perhaps?
Commiserations to Rab Murray who was gunning for a PB,
but later said that an over-agressive training schedule in the run
up to the race (4 x 10k at race pace in 8 days) took its toll on
race day. Well done Rab, despite what you think, you did us
proud!
Results were are follows:-
Gillian Burtwell 51:23
(PB)
Rab Murray 39:08
Bruce Taylor 41:20
Leigh Summers
48:51
Well Done
everyone!

Congratulations to GRR's
David Blaine who has been competing in the Prom 3k series ahead of
the Fife 50k (and I thought the guy in the goldfish bowl was
crazy...)
Aberdeen North 3k Run 10:39
Aberdeen South 3k
Run 10:45
Stonehaven 3k Run 10:49
David is now lying 26th
overall in the Prom race series.
Well done!

Speedwork Facilities - Now
available!
Watch this space for more details of GRR organised
training nights, hopefully with a qualified coach!.
The
warmer weather is upon us (honest) and so Inverurie Academy have
laid out their playing fields for the Athletic season.
The good
news is that it means we have a 400m track (grass) on our doorstep -
all nicely laid out waiting for you to have a blast round some night
when speedwork takes your fancy (I know & when hell freezes over
I hear you say...)
Not sure where the track is? click
