Back O Bennachie it is!

After several recounts of the votes received for an alternative to the scheduled run at Gight Castle / Methlick, the clear winner is Back O Bennachie. Actually it wasn't too hard to work it out as only 3 votes were cast, 2 for BOB and 1 for Paradise Woods! From this overwhelming response we can deduct the following:

1) Nobody reads this news letter
2) It doesn't matter which run we choose because they're all great (really)
3) Apathy rules!

Anyway, Back O Bennachie it is. There are a couple of route options, firstly we can go straight up the hill to Little Oxencraig then over to Craigshannock, Mither Tap and down the Maiden's Causeway following the hill race route back to the car park. Alternatively some folk prefer to turn right and run all the way along the forest road to the fence, turn left and go up the hill then run back along the Gordon Way to either Watch Craig or Oxencraig before turning down the hill to the car park.

Either way there is a bit of hill to contend with! (But it will be fun)

The race is advertised as 4 miles with 1200 ft (climb) and entry is £2. The organiser (Carl Pryce) has e mailed to invite all Gariochs to compete, so if you're bored to tears with the Shakin Brig run, there is an alternative!
