GariochRR This Week

August 28, 2006Running despatches from the heart of the Garioch
Announcements
Congratulations to Rab Murray who was 2nd Vet, 5th overall at yesterday's Peterhead 10k in a time of 39:04
Rab said: 'I beat all the Fraserbugh folk bar one , the whole lot , and there were swarms of them! I think the whole club turned out - but all they could see was a Garioch running vest in front of them!'

Good on ya Rab!

=============

Congratulation's also to GRR's Reben Hunt who ran in the Lonach Gathering Hill race at the weekend in a time of 32:39.
Reuben tells me that Billy Conolly wasnt the only comedian in attendance, as the shambolic race organisation indicated that the organisers were a having a laugh too, with 'optional' extra laps at the end of the race...

Well done Reuben, nonetheless!

You Might be a Runner if (3+ required)-

Aviemore
Accomodation
Steve asked if we could get an idea of who is all going to the Aviemore half in October, so that we can start organising accomodation.
Can anyone going drop me an email (bruce@axoninstruments.com), indicating if you need accomodation with the GRR group, and if your preference is Sat night only / Sat+Sun night / Sun night only.
We will need to get our skates on for booking accomodation if we are all going as a group...
