September 18, 2006Running despatches from the heart of the Garioch
Announcements
Just a wee reminder that the London Marathon entry forms are now out for the 2007 event; this year's closing date is October 20th.
Entry forms are in the local running shops, or ask your clubmates - anyone who has ran this race before automatically gets sent a magazine with the entry form.

There will also be a club place up for grabs; this has traditionally been one of the highlights of the GRR Xmas night out, where the name of our FLM club representative will be drawn out of the hat.
Note that only fully paid up club members will be eligible.
============================

Good luck to GRR's 'Mental Phil' who is offski to the land of Oz to start a new job.
Mental Phil, for the uninitiated sends a weekly pep-talk email, that will be in your inbox first thing monday morning waiting for you when you get into the office. It should be read first before you do anything else as Phil will motivate you with good positive vibes on how to get though the week.
All the best Phil!

The build up to the BHR continues this weekend,with a training run round the race course on Saturday morning.

This week we are going to run the route non-stop, but a pace below actual race pace. Of course theres still the option of taking a wee breather & enjoying the views that you wouldn't otherwise see (unless the weather is like saturday's, in which case you'll get to see what its like to run up top in complete white out conditions).

Meet at the Back o' Bennachie car park on Saturday at 0800hrs.
