"The man looks like he’s made out of metal. His calves bulge as though sacks of King Edward potatoes have been implanted under his skin."

Check out the article in the sunday times on Dean Karnazes - the fittest man on the planet; the man who just ran 50 marathons in 50 days.

What's Up This Week
Tuesday Evening...
Club Run round Inverurie.
Usual Meeting time of 6.30pm at the foyer in the Garioch Sports Centre.
There's a choice of distances including 5m/6m/7m & 8.6m & even the odd hill for added fun.
GRR also has an arrangement with the sports centre for free use of their changing & shower facilities (just say you are with GRR at reception).
Click here for a map of where to meet (use the zoom to find your bearings).

Thursday Evening...
Club Run round Inverurie.
Usual Meeting time of 6.30pm at the foyer in the Garioch Sports Centre.
Despite the less than ideal running surface, this isnt as bad as it sounds; its fully lit throughout, and at this time of year a clear crisp autumnal evening can be quite refreshing.
Click here for a map of where to meet (use the zoom to find your bearings).

Saturday 25th
Club run from Esson's car park, Bennachie.
Meet at 8.00am for an off-road run on our favourite hill.
Please note that due to the onset of chilly weather we will be heading off sharpish; so unless you fancy a game of hares & hounds....

Have a great week

Run Long and Taper.
The GariochRR team.
GRR XMAS Party
Ian Cran has booked us up for the 'bring a party to a party' in the Kintore Arms on Friday 22nd Dec.

Looks like theres going to be good turnout as there's now a total of 35 of us going.

Ian tells me that we need to pay in full by the 27th November. Please can you give either Ian or Steve £29 (per head) before this date & Ian will sort the rest out with the KA.
