Greetings fellow runners, spring has sprung and the spell of warm weather has brought the GRR newsletter out of winter hibernation!

So whats been happening & who has been racing lately?

Garioch 10k
We had a tremendous turnout at the weekend for our local 10k race. Results were as follows:-
David Blane 38:21 (the fastest 10k he has run in 10 years apparently)

Congratulations to David Blane who took part in the Tartan shorts 5k at Haddo House, placing on the PODIUM in 3rd place with a time of 19.06 (PB).

Congratulations to Duncan Leel who took part in the Round the Castles XC race at Drum castle in a time of 34:19.

Congratulations to Ian Cran who was the only GRR runner to take part in the Nairn 10k, finishing in a time of 43:35.

Congratulations to the GRR runners who competed in last month's Inverness half marathon.

Congratulations to the GRR runners who took part in the RAF Kinloss-Lossie half marathon.>br/> Results were as follows:-

Congratulations to Steve Wilson, who took part in the Park 5 mile Run in downtown Houston, back in Feb. It was his first run since the Great North Run last October and from coming back form injury. Steve said he was really pleased to get home in a time of 34 min 24 secs.

Best wishes to GRR chairman Pete Stephen who has his leg in plaster at the moment, but has vowed to be race fit for BHR in October....

Make a note in your diary of this year's GRR AGM, provisionally set for 8th May.

Finally, Run-4-it in Aberdeen's Holburn street has just started its end of season sale, if you fancy grabbing a bargain.
