Announcements
Congratulations to everyone who took part in last weekend's Stoney Stomp in Stonehaven.
There was a 5k and 7miler on offer, both of which proved a bit on the undulating side:-
5k: Rosie Massie 33:52 (5th overall)
7m: Assynt Macleod 47:05 (4th overall)
7m: Ian Cran 51:50
7m: Steve Waites 55:31

Well Done everyone!
===========================================

Congratulations to GRR's Phil Owens who did the Fresh n' Lo Glasgow Half marathon last weekend, finishing in a time of 1:39:44. Phil says he's really chuffed with his time, despite an admin problem resulting in him starting in the last pack (with an introduction on the start line of: “these runners have the largest smile on their faces, because they are just happy to be here and if they finish close to 2 hours then they will have even bigger smiles”!!!!! So it was head down right from the start and try and catch up with someone in a GRR club vest in one of the earlier packs.
Phil tells me he's doing the New York marathon later this year, so his time in Glasgow is a great confidence booster & an indication that all the hard training is paying dividends.

Well Done Phil!
==========================================

Congratulations to the David Blane who was our sole entrant in the Fife 50k at the weekend finishing in an impressive 4hr 34
Dave says he was churning out the laps until around 3 laps to go, when he started to run out of steam - nothing to do with too much parting at Offshore Europe last week he tells me!
He placed as 1st M40 runner, although the celebrations were only slightly damped by the 1st M50 runner coming in in front of him

Well Done Dave of a great performance!

Tell Us About Your Running!
If you've been out racing, or achieved some other running goal, why not tell everyone else about it?
Its great to hear what you've all been up to, how you got on, what the like the course was and if the race was well organised.
Sent in your race reports to bruce.taylor@ziebel.biz & tell the world! (there are quite a few GRR expats out there who you won't meet in Tesco's chocolate biscuit aisle to tell them your news and rely on reading this to hear how everyone is doing after all!)
