Well done!
======================================

Bennachie Hill Race.

A big thank you to everyone who helped out with this year's hill race; a special thanks to Assynt MC Loud who performed the prizegiving.
The fine settled spell of autumn weather held thoroughout the race weekend, resulting in near ideal race conditions.
A total of 103 runners took part in this year's race which was won by Cosmic's Dan Whitehead in a time of 56:09.
The great news for GariochRR was that the GRR women's team (Donna Gray, Rachael Paterson & Chantel Clark) re-claimed the team prize back from the Cosmics! - well done girls!

GRR club times were as follows:-

Chantel Clark 1:22:51
Donna Gray 1:14:30
Rachael Paterson 1:22:27
Assynt Macleod 1:10:13
Duncan Leel 1:18:08
Ian Cran 1:17:33
Michael Bradley 1:11:57
Pete Stephen 1:38:49
Rab Murray 1:11:06
Richard Ingram 1:17:48

We also had an entrant come over from Finland for the race too!

Thanks also to everyone who took photos of the race; the web site is groaning under the weight of a mountain of photos (geddit?)
What's Up This Week
Tuesday Evening...

Club Run round Inverurie.
Usual Meeting time of 6.30pm at the foyer in the Garioch Sports Centre.
There's a choice of distances including 5m/6m/7m & 8.6m & even the odd hill for added fun.
GRR also has an arrangement with the sports centre for free use of their changing & shower facilities (just say you are with GRR at reception).
Click here showing the meeting point (use the zoom to find your bearings).

Thursday Evening...

Club Run round Inverurie.
Usual Meeting time of 6.30pm at the foyer in the Garioch Sports Centre.
Despite the less than ideal running surface, this isnt as bad as it sounds; its fully lit throughout, and at this time of year a clear crisp autumnal evening can be quite refreshing.
Click here showing the meeting point (use the zoom to find your bearings).

Saturday 13th

Club run from Esson's car park, Bennachie. Meet at 8.00am for an off-road run on our favourite hill.

Sunday 14th

Aviemore Half Marathon - judging by the number of folks who have said they are going, it sounds like the club is gong to be well represented.
Race stats at 1100hrs.

Have a great week

Run Long and Taper.
The GariochRR team.
