Bennachie Night Run
Rab Murray is tells me that its a full moon next week on Tues 22nd & that he's planning a night run round the Bennachie Hill Race Route.
Anyone with a headtorch & aspirations to bark at the full moon from the top of a mountain with a bit of running in between should get in touch with:
a)Rab at Murraykarluk@aol.com
and b) possibly a good therapist

Now thats something that I'd like to see on youtube.com .... hmmm - just did a search for night running on youtube.com - looks like there are more Rabs on this planet than I thought...

What's Up This Week
Tuesday Evening...

Club Run round Inverurie.
Usual Meeting time of 6.30pm at the foyer in the Garioch Sports Centre.
There's a choice of distances including 5m/6m/7m & 8.6m & even the odd hill for added fun.
GRR also has an arrangement with the sports centre for free use of their changing & shower facilities (just say you are with GRR at reception).
Click here showing the meeting point (use the zoom to find your bearings).

Thursday Evening...

Club Run round Inverurie.
Usual Meeting time of 6.30pm at the foyer in the Garioch Sports Centre.
Despite the less than ideal running surface, this isnt as bad as it sounds; its fully lit throughout, and at this time of year a clear crisp autumnal evening can be quite refreshing.
Click here showing the meeting point (use the zoom to find your bearings).

Saturday 19th

Club run from Esson's car park, Bennachie. Meet at 8.30am for an off-road run on our favourite hill.

Sun 20th
The Running Shop Round the Castles XCountry.
Drum Castle, program starts at 1215

Have a great week.

Run Long and Taper.
The GariochRR team.
Foodie Column
For anyone in marathon training - Morrisions have a buy1 get1 free offer on at the moment for all flavours of New York Bagels.

Check out the new Seeds of Change Chocolate Bar: dark chocolate with ground nuts, figs and orange....hmmm...worth going a run for to justify its consumption in one sitting...
