Bennachie Night Run Update
Rab Murray tells me that a new course record was set the other week for BHR nite race#2.
This was set by Mossy the dog in a time of 1:35:44.
Rab Murray was first man home in a time of 1:35:45.
Rab said he was pleased with his time despite the ice & snow in places, especially in the gulleys making running difficult, but there was less ice going down the wee rough track thru the woods, & was so lovely running in the full moon!
BHR Nite Race#3 is around the 21st feb, weather & full moon permitting.

Well Done Rab!

What's Up This Week
Tuesday Evening...

Club Run round Inverurie.
Usual Meeting time of 6.30pm at the foyer in the Garioch Sports Centre.
There's a choice of distances including 5m/6m/7m & 8.6m & even the odd hill for added fun.
GRR also has an arrangement with the sports centre for free use of their changing & shower facilities (just say you are with GRR at reception).
Click here showing the meeting point (use the zoom to find your bearings).

Thursday Evening...

Club Run round Inverurie.
Usual Meeting time of 6.30pm at the foyer in the Garioch Sports Centre.
Despite the less than ideal running surface, this isnt as bad as it sounds; its fully lit throughout, and at this time of year a clear crisp autumnal evening can be quite refreshing.
Click here showing the meeting point (use the zoom to find your bearings).

Saturday 9th

Club run from Esson's car park, Bennachie. Meet at 8.30am for an off-road run on our favourite hill.

Sun 10th
The Run-4-it Tartan Shorts 5k & kids 2k race at Castle Fraser.
10:30 start for kid's 2Km, 11:00 for 5Km
You can enter online at born2run or download an entry from here.

Have a great week.

Run Long and Taper.
The GariochRR team.
Free Mountain Bike Cleaning Service
GRR regular David Blane has asked if anyone in the club could lend him a mountain bike for the next duathlon in the series.
He's promised to return the bike washed and in one piece.
The race is on 24th February from the Bennachie centre.

P.S. A bike suitable for an inside leg measurement of 31 inches - so not too big a mountain bike would suit fine. Dave also has SPD shoes he can use.
