Congratulations to Steve Waites who took part in the Elgin 10k race at the weekend, finishing in a time of 47:08

Well done!

Congratulations to Rab (the nite runner) Murray) who completed the BHR Nite Run race #4 last week despite the artic weather, finishing in a time 1:33:15, once again getting pipped at the post by Mossy the dog 1:33:14.
The race was rescheduled from Good Friday to Sat the 22nd to get a better weather window, and sure enough the wind droped a bit and it stopped snowing. However Rab tells me that he still prepared for the worst, and had on 4 breathable tops, a balaclava, 2 tracksuit bottoms, windstopper mitts, a camel bak with a windstopper fleece straped to it, a 6.5litre "bum bag" for his phone, compass, another fleece, some chocolate bars and whistle, so was a bit on the heavy side when he lined up at the start line.
It transpired that his selection of race kit proved a little conservative however, and ended up sweating profusely, due to the tropical temperature of +2 DegC, and 15mph wind!!
Rab says that there was fair bitty snow at the steep section, but if it hadnt been for all the gear he woud have cracked 90 mins.
For anyone who wants to give Rab and Mossy a run for thier money, the last bhr nite race is scheduled for around the 20 april lunar cycle & weather permitting....

Well done Rab!

Help Wanted: Garioch10k
The folks that organise the Garioch 10k have been in touch asking if anybody would like to help out with the marshalling of the Garioch 10k on the 13th of April.
They need about 20 in total but if we could provide any it would help. They are using timing chips this year and will need a few people at the end to remove the chips from the ankles of knackered runners.
GRR's Ian Cran is your contact if you can help out. Ian also tells me that a couple of us are needed to go out on the course early on race day morning to mark up the course.
