Its Bennachie Hill Race Week!

Weeks of preparation by Steve come to fruition this weekend with the club's 19th running of the famous hill race; sadly Steve has had to head offshore on a bit of paternity leave cover and will miss the big day. Hopwe you can come along and take part in the race, or failing that, help out with the organising - see this week's posting for Sat. & Sun. below....

Saturday 4th

Bennachie Hill Race: marking out the course.

A leisurely stroll over a section of the race course is on offer this morning, meeting at the Back 'o Bennachie car park, nr Oyne for 0900hs, to mark out the race route with some canes and marker tape. All runners / walkers / kids / dogs welcome!

Sunday 5th

It's Bennachie Hill Race Day!!

Race starts at 1400hrs from the Back 'o Bennachie car park near Oyne, but we could do with all the help we can get beforehand to set things up, so if you can spare so time it would be greatly appreciated!

We are also still a bit low on race marshalls, so if you are looking for an excuse not to run, see Bruce.

We also need some home bakes for the tea tent, to revive all the race finishers...all bakes greatly appreciated.

Finally, we need some GRRers to actually run the race; club numbers have been down quite a bit this year, and it would be a travesty if we were'nt well represented in our club race!!

Have a great week.

Bagel Boy Recommends....
What to eat with your bagel?

How about some comforting soup - Bagel boy recommends the latest range of Baxters Deli soups - Italian Wedding soup in particular is wonderful with its pasta & mini- meatballs....

The Beef Chilli with buckwheat is also fab....

Available at all good supermarkets (oh, and Tesco too....)
