Cut off
from the Regiment at Chattanooga so went home on the 10 August 1863.
He took
Oath at Nashville 18 February 1865.
His
pension application, number #16325, was filed on 7 October 1927 but was
rejected.
He married Avey Hutchinson, daughter of Charles Hutchison and Hixa Solomon, 18 April 1861, at Short Mountain. They had at least nine children: Sarah Jane. M. T., Perry Green. Lydia T., Bernard Napoleon Jr., Sophia, Connia, Loula E., and Cleveland. Amy was born on 14 April1842 and died on 1 July 1922.
He died 2 April 1931 and they are both buried in the Jacobs Pillar Cemetery in DeKalb County.
