Learn to sail with HEM Sailing 

We offer sail training from our base at Clyde Marina, Ardrossan based on the west coast of North Ayrshire, located close to Glasgow International Airport and Glasgow Prestwick Airport. There is a rail link to a station beside  Clyde Marina and if you want to drive, plenty of parking space on arrival. 

Fully RYA Approved, with a maximum of 4 students per instructor, we offer courses for all levels of experience from total beginner up to preparation for the Yachtmaster offshore  exam. 

If you are not sure what course is for you then contact us and discuss your requirements and we can make sure that you are given the right level of training. 

Don’t want to do a set  or formally structured training course ?.......... then speak with us and we can arrange a few days sailing with our instructor who has the local knowledge of The Clyde to let you sail and learn about the area visiting a few of the more interesting places!

 

Our Yacht  "Penhous K"

"PENHOUS K" a Bavaria 38 Exclusive fitted with in-mast furling and furling headsail, built in 1999. The yacht is fully MCA coded and for comfort, is fitted with radar and chart plotter ,sprayhood, warm air heating, hot / cold water and 10 track CD player. 

Students are accommodated in the two aft double cabins.
