An adjective is a word giving more information about a noun. There are two types of of adjectives in Bosnian:

i) Demonstrative adjectives
ii) Possessive adjectives

Examples:
A tall man - visok ovjek
A ginger cat- uta maka
An old town - stari grad
A good theatre - dobar teatar

Most of the adjectives are written in lower case. They have three genders and must agree in all aspect with the nouns they qualify. Adjectives have three genders.

i) Demonstrative adjectives

Masculine

• Singular ending: any consonant lijep, velik
• Plural endings: lijepi , veliki

Feminine:

• Singular ending: -a lijepa,velika
• Plural ending:lijepe, velike

Neuter:

• Singular ending: -o veliko, lijepo, dobro
• Plural endings: velika, lijepa

ii) Possessive adjectives

They are formed from nouns or nouns denoting people
