Learn Bosnian  grammar : Negatives

Auxiliary for to be verb

• Nisam -- I am not

• Nisi -- You are not

• Nije -- He/she is not

• Nismo -- We are not

• Niste -- You are not

• Nisu -- They are not

Other commonly used negatives are the following:

• Niko -- noone, nobody

• Nita -- nothing

• Nikada -- never

• Ne vie -- no longer

• Nigdje -- nowhere

• Nijedan -- neither

Note: In Bosnian, the existence of double negatives is allowed.

Examples:

I haven't got anything to say. {Ja nemam nita da kaem }
I never do it on Mondays.{Ja to nikada ne radim ponedeljkom.}
