About the guinea pigs...

Not only are we bunny parents but guinea pig parents too! Fuzzy & Smoothie joined the family in August when they were just 2 months old.  They have settled into our house really well and are becoming very tame and friendly.  They live indoors as well (but not with the bunnies!)  They have their own space in the kitchen/diner where they are free all day and night.  In the evenings, we let them come through into the lounge which they enjoy as it gives them more places to investigate.  They were remarkably easy to house train which is why we can let them be free all the time. 

Fuzzy is the biggest out of the two, where as her sister Smoothie is slightly smaller.  As you can see from the photos below, Fuzzy has very frizzy fur and wiry curly whiskers but Smoothie is very smooth haired with straight whiskers.  Both are very dark chocolate brown in colour but Fuzzy has a lighter brown stripe on her where as Smoothie as a few grey strands of fur on her back.

It seems that both Pepsi & Lucky get on with the guinea pigs but it took longer for Pepsi to get used to them.  We think he was just establishing the fact that he's The Boss!! 

In the evening when it's time for them all to get their veggie food, it is rather mad!  We have the guinea pigs wheeking and squeaking, and also the buns running around our feet all excited, waiting for their food!

It really is a joy to share our household with Fuzzy & Smoothie as it's great to listen to them chatting and talking away to each other.  It can get rather noisy at times!
