2008 RESULT (Provisional)

The Awards for 2008 were:

Garry Banfield1st Garry Banfield Kent Cycles R.C. with a distance of 266.091 miles. Receives the A J Bathurst Trophy (for one year) Plus Gilt Medal.

2nd Andy Miles Gemini B.C. with a distance of 249.189 miles receives a Silver Plated Medal.

3rd Ian Sutton San Fairy Ann C.C.. with a distance of 248.672 miles receives a Bronze Medal.

1st Lady's award went to Miss Bronwen Ewing Rye and District Wheelers C.C. with a distance of 204.325 miles who receives the Glad Mills Plaque.

The 1st Team of Three was the San Fairy Ann C.C. (Sutton 248.672 miles; Tipples 217.526 miles & Lejeune 212.414 miles) with a distance of 660.888 miles and they hold the The Bray Shield (for one year) Plus Gilt Medals.

The Medway Velo Club was second (Weale; Kennison; Tucker) 659.757 miles.

The Veteran on Age Standard award went to Shay Giles V.C. Deal +50.285 miles. 2nd was Garry Banfield Kent Cycles R.C. +44.461 miles and 3rd was Alan Priddy De Laune C.C. +32.535 miles.

Greatest improvement on Personal best distance went to Andy Miles Gemini B.C. with a +29.124 miles. Miss Jane Reeve was second with a +23.718 miles, and Rob Tipples San Fairy Ann C.C. was third with +12.400 miles.
