ANNUAL"TEA" PARTY - 11 OCTOBER 2008
This year it asn’t - it will be a sausage & mash LUNCH by way of a change. Over the last few years the Tea Party has gone into a steady decline in popularity, & recognising this, the Vets Committee have decided to call it a day & drop the event from the Group Social Programme. However, after much discussion it was decided to give it one more go but with a revised format, so this year it will become a Lunch Party.
The date will be Saturday 11th October at Kingswod Village Hall with the meal served at 1.30pm prompt. The menu is sausage& mash with peas, carrots & onion gravy followed by fruit salad. Vegetarians will have cauliflower cheese with French bread & butter. As usual there will be all the tea & coffee you can drink. The earlier date & time has been chosen to avoid the clock change & also to allow members wanting to ride to the event time to ride home in daylight. There will be the usual raffle with a host of good prizes & the event will finish at 5.30pm to allow us to vacate the hall by 6pm. Please support this event, bring a friend, bring a Clubrun, - the cost is only £6.50 a head.
Book now with Mike Ducker on 01622 683653 or at any Wobblers Meet. Closing date for booking will be midday 8th October. Don’t forget to state if you are a vegetarian.Cheques should be made payable to VTTA Kent Group.

LEN LE BLOND - CAMBERWELL WHEELERS
Pat Hill has been given a lovely little collection of carefully packed medals plus some old photos referring to a man called Len Le Blond who was in the Camberwell Wheelers in the 1930s.
Some of the medals are solid silver. One of our members up in Lincs was given them but we dont know who had them before that.
If anyone has any information on Len Le Blond or the Club would they contact Pat .

WOBBLERS
These are the regular lunch venues of this large group of people (sometimes we have 60+ out) from all over Kent, SE London & Sussex, some of whom meet earlier in the day in their own areas to have a joint ride to our pubs to enjoy a good feed & a good laugh. Everybody welcome, any age, any Club or no Club, you don’t even have to ride a bike. Come by bus or car or walk. Arrive between 12-2.30pm & follow the noise. We are now in our 30th year so we must be doing something right!!
