The 9th Astrofest, sponsored by Astronomy Now magazine, was held at the popular venue of Kensington Town Hall - London on Friday and Saturday Feb 2 & 3. An excellent opportunity to meet old friends, peruse the many stands and attend talks given in the spacious lecture theatre. John Mason - Big splash origin of the Moon and Allan Chapman - Copernicus were in cracking form as was Nik Szymanek - Astro image processing, if interrupted in mid flow by a fire alarm evacuation! Some 28 stands covered everything from telescopes & equipment, books, magazines & software to clubs, societies like the BAA & universities.
James Weightman volunteered the leading Coronado Ha image taken the following Wednesday.
