BAA Annual Exhibition Meeting - 2003

June 28 - a return to Cavendish Laboratories - Cambridge
for an excellent BAA exhibition and chance to meet old friends including
legendary mirror-maker Henry Wildey in his 90th year. Over 160 members
and guests were in attendance. The standard of observational drawings,
photos and CCD images on the many Sections in two spacious rooms was high.
Three astro societies were represented and six trade stands sold their wares. These included a first UK public airing for the very impressive 14-inch Meade LX200 GPS by Robert Dalby of BC&F Astro-Engineering and impressive views from the terrace through the new British Solarview 50 Ha-scope by Ninian Boyle of Venturescope.
The brief formal meeting, held in the lecture theatre, included the annual BAA Awards presented by President Guy Hurst and three mini lectures by Section Directors.
