Lodestar CCD camera in e-finder mode

return to <ETX-70 DeepSky

LODESTAR FINDER ON 30cm MEADE CLASSIC LX200:   Regular optical finder replaced with a Starlight Xpress Lodestar mono CCD as an electronic finder in brief exposures via a 85mm f/2 Jupiter lens covering a 4 x 3 deg fov.   A red filter before the lens seems to minimise light pollution.  The camera also used to record large deepsky objects like North America Nebula [NGC 7000 -Cyg] and IC 1396 [Cep] in longer exposures.
