2003 Aug 14: Short session with Rainbow Optics grating immediately before MX9 CCD camera in full-res mode to give dispersion of 25A/pixel and res ~50A on red long period variable stars mainly in Lyra plus LX Cyg with eclipsing binary [EB] b Lyr with hydrogen and helium emission lines for comparison. The first three stars have classic M-type spectra. HK Lyr is a carbon star [N4] and LX Cyg has an S-type spectrum - both of which affect their spectrum profiles.
