Discovered by Akira Takao - Japan [IAUC 8323] on CCD images taken 2004 Apr 14.80 at ~11.1 unfiltered.

2004 June 28 - This lowly nova at -23o Dec finally clears neighbour's willow tree after midnight on southern meridian for images below.
Spectrum extracted via AstroArt.  Due to the way the grating works - the Ha line is sharper than the stars.
