2005 July 10:  This brightish nova finally recorded from Worcetser Park after abortive attempts. At some 4o above my local southern horizon it has evolved over the last 6 days since discovery to show Hb and Hg in emission in addition to the dominant Ha.  More emission lines in near-IR.Note the spectrum is curved upwards due to atmospheric dispersion at low altitude [4o] like a weak prism!  This effect is corrected for spectrogram on right.

2005 July 16:  Repeat observation in 5m exposure goes 'deeper' and shows nova spectrum substantially unchanged over last 6 days
