2002 RAS-BAA Pro-Am Meeting - Cambridge University

2002 Jan 26:  An excellent full day meeting convened by Dr Margaret Penston [RAS] at the Institute of Astronomy - Sackler Lecture Theatre - Cambridge that attracted some 50 amateur and professional astronomers from around the country who gathered to discuss work of mutual interest. The short presentations covering a wide range of topics and were chaired by Nial Tanvir and Roger Pickard. The lunch break included a conducted tour of the observatories.

This was a fascinating meeting with something for every attendee.  On the instrumentation front the progress report on the fully automated 2m Cassegrain telescopes at La Palma - Liverpool, Maui-Hawaii - Faulkes North and Siding Springs-Australia - Faulkes South were particularly interesting Maurice Gavin
