January 5 : The Meeting as held at the Scientific Society's Lecture
Theatre - Savile Row - London to a near capacity audience
under the chairmanship of BAA President Guy Hurst. Lectures by Prof.
Richard Stephenson on Historical Eclipses and Philip
Perkins on Astrophotography
were well received. Martin Mobberley made a welcome return with his
popular Night Sky talk which included a remarkable movie sequence
of a NEO by Nick James. The meeting was preceded by an excellent three
course Christmas lunch.
