Essential things to do

  1. Stop and start signals to be gas powered horn not whistle
  2. provision of decent toilets
  3. details of camping and/or camp/caravan site
  4. food facilities must be provided
  5. marshals must wear yellow vests
  6. stop watches to be checked and if necessary additional purchased
  7. competition rules (BFTA) to be displayed at stats

Course details

  1. shoot to comprise 50 targets
  2. shooting will be shotgun start - 3 to a lane
  3. minimum of two regions per lane
  4. shooting to commence at or as near to 09.00 as possible or when 75 shooters have booked in
  5. second shoot to commence at 13.15
  6. all rifles to be chronographed
  7. trophies to be provided by BrTA
  8. shoot entrance fee = £7.00 per shooter
  9. course to be varied and challenging
  10. course must be examined and cleared in good time before the shoot commences

Ideas for smooth running

Two-way radios are considered essential due to the length of the course. Spare targets on course at strategic locations should one or more fail. Targets to be resprayed after morning shoot.

Volunteer marshals needed from other clubs. Chief marshal to be near stats.
