- Norma Almond - Tawd Vale Gunners
- Len Rosser - Blackpool
- Mike Slater - Blackpool
- Nigel Dickin - Eagley
- Peter Davey - Failsworth
- Stan Abbots - Sandhall
- Richard Lees - Stockport
- Ken West - CMB
Apologies from Winchester, Oldham and Macc.
1) Minutes from last meeting - Len felt that money matters of
the NWFTA should not be discussed unless the Treasurer is in attendance.
Proposed by Len Rosser, Seconded by Terry Almond.
2) Terry proposed that the Treasurers report is read out every quarter,
rather than monthly. Seconded by Peter Davey.
3) BFTA news - letter citing proceedings against Joe Ward handed
out to each club. Whatever transpires with Joe, North-West members must be
made aware of the facts.
4) Reminder to Sandhall, Failsworth and Blackpool to return their BFTA
Insurance forms to Nosh.
5) Nigel made point that front of filler guage blew off at Eagley on
sunday when filling gun. Shooters should take all precautions when filling
guns as Len said this is a common occurrence with divers.
6) Mike felt that some safety guidelines should be issued concerning
rifles and air bottles.
7) Handouts issued: BFTA grading list and BFTA AGM meeting minutes.
8) Anglo-American Update - going well. Nigel and Lend will
provide water carriers for camping area as no mains water provided.
9) War of the Roses update - Names and fees to Nosh by the end
of May, please. Suggested criteria to go to NEFTA from NWFTA.
10) War of the Roses trophy (if we win) to be passed around the shops in
the North West.
11) Regional Championships - NWFTA came third. Full results will
be circulated when received. Apparently, next year, team and individual
championships will be split. Format to be decided.
12) Clubs cup to be run again. Barry Longbottom to set format.
13) Shoot 6 at Oldham excellent - finishing time too early, hopefully
Tony will sort out.
14) Presentation evening to be carried on. Date to be set in June.
15) Tied scoressituation at end of season to be reviewed.
16) Norwegian Postal League - Tawd Vale putting 2 teams in.
Blackpool may be interested.
17) Len suggested expenses to be paid for travelling to NWFTA meetings.
To be thought about and put on the agenda for next meeting.
18) Mike made point that new shooters should be made aware of safety
measures. Nigel issues safety guidelines, each club should do the same.
19) Time and date of next meeting 2/5/95.
18a) Team scores discussion. To be considered in the future.
18b) Countback system at each individual shoot to go on agenda for next
meeting.
