NWFTA Meeting 6th August 2001 - St Helens RUFC

1) Tony and Ashley Gavin brought their laptop computer and showed us how the NWFTA website will work. The BFTA will host the site, but Tony will contact local businesses to sponsor the site.

2) The date of the NWFTA AGM has been set for Monday 1st October ant the usual venue, St Helens RUFC. All members are encouraged to attend. A reminder that Norma is dfinitely not standing for re-election to Secretary and it is likely that the Chairman position, currently held by Dave Fairhurst, will also become vacant.

3) Proposed dates & venues of the Winter League were read out and agreed. Programmes will be available at the Showdown.

4) NWFTA Showdown - to avoid a recurrence of last years problems, it was agreed that pairings would be drawn at the event.

5) Selection of regional team - the team will be finalised & agreed by Committee members who attend the Showdown.

6) Feedback from previous shoots - From Tawd Vale - when course has been laid out, shooters should not walk round before start pulling strings, etc. Shooters should also ensure they have signed their scorecards and that they have been witnessed before handing in. In future, if this is not done, scores may be discounted.

7) In order to standardise the pre-shoot briefings, Terry Mann will produce a list of reminders that will be given at each shoot.

8) Presentation evening - this will be held on Friday 3rd November at 8pm at St Helens RUFC. There will be the usual Hotpot and Quiz. All club members are encouraged to attend whether you have won anything or not!

9) Time and date of next meeting - NWFTA AGM on Monday 1st October 2001 at 8pm.
