- Norma Almond - Secretary (Tawd Vale)
- Tony Snailham - Vice Chairman (Oldham)
- Stan Abbots - (Sandhall)

- Dave Schofield - (Winchester)

- Richard Lees - (Stockport) (and Flash)
- Steve Pemberton - Byley
Apologies received from Davinia Wainwright and Terry Almond.
Minutes from the last meeting agreed.
1) Feedback from February BFTA Meeting - see minutes attached.
2) Nosh read out a letter she had rec'd from Len Rosser concerning the
lack of a Summer Series in the NWFTA. She also invited anyone who was
interested to read the reply.
3) Dave Schofield then announced the names of the successful shooters
who will make up the region's team at the forthcoming BFTA Championships.
The team will be announced at the next shoot at Sandhall. If anyone is
unablc to compete, reserves, who have also been listed, will be asked to
partake. Expenses of £15-00 per person will be dished out on the day.
4) Arrangements for the 3 special NWFTA shoots which are being held by
Byley, Oldham and Clwyd, this summer, are progressing well. All the events
will be advertised locally as well as in Shooting Sports magazine.
Sponsorship is going well, with Daystatc being involved with the Byley
shoot. Negotiations are in hand for Oldham and Clwyd.
5) Last shoot at Winchester - excellent event, full marks to the club,
especially Paula & Dave, with their limited resources.
6) Next shoot at Sandhall - reminder that this is the Members
Championship, and will consist of a 35 target course. Only the first 25
targets will count towards the Grand Prix.
7) Any other business - Nosh said that she had a couple of calls from
shooters complaining that the last shoot of our Winter Series, which has
had to be arranged to the 9th April, because of clashing with the BFTA
Championships, now clashed with the first shoot of the BFTA Grand Prix
Series. Whilst having every sympathy with shooters who wish to shoot both
series, this is an unavoidable situation. So that shooters are fully aware
of the reasoning behind this decision, Nosh has prepared a statement for
Dave Fairhurst to read out at the next shoot at Sandhall.
Time and date of next meeting - Tuesday 4th April 2000.
Norma Almond - Secretary 8/03/2000
