MINUTES OF AGM 2002 which were read by chairman Richard The minutes were duly accepted as a true and accurate record.

MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES

Lack of gents toilet facilities at the Byley ground need to be addressed. The camping toilet quickly fills up making it unpleasant for the lady shooters. Possible solution would be a structure made out of old doors to form a urinal for the male shooters as Stockport and Oldham have.

Secretary to mail out minutes to all club secretaries.

REPORTS

CHAIRMANS REPORT - Express disappointment that so few of the members had attended.

SECRETARYS REPORT - No correspondence nothing to report.

TREASURERS REPORT - Funds not healthy

We need to encourage other clubs to affiliate to North West by explaining benefits of membership particularly the BFTA insurance scheme.

A need to encourage sporter shooters and provide sporter class if full-blown FT shooters cannot be found.

Need to consider limiting grades to three to reduce the amount spent on trophies.

Affiliation fees may have to increase which would be the subject of an EGM.

Does anyone have suggestions as to how we can increase income? Raffle at shoots for say a bottle of whisky/brandy.

Treasurer to write to advertisers on North West web page asking for their monies.

After discussion it was decided to initiate raffles at GP's tickets to be £1 per strip and prizes will be a six pack and a tin of chocolate biscuits to be drawn between squads one and two.

Clubs please note that the affiliation fee of £45.00 is now due. Remit to Treasurer.

COMPETITION SECRETARY

The grades were examined and it was decided to scrap AA grade and the split will now be

  • A - 80 - 100%
  • B - 65 - 79.9%
  • C - 0 - 64.9%

and if less than 5 shooters, only one trophy will be given (C grade only). This will reduce outlay on trophies. CR proposed - DW seconded, passed unanimously.

Please note CLA and Worlds are now clashing both are on 1 St weekend in August.

The NW shoot calendar summer 2003 is provisionally as set out below.

  • 13th April - GP1 - Stockport

NWFTA to have A4 copy of clubs and location of clubs. Should you wish for invitation only access to shooting site then this must be stated with information. Stockport have this requirement.

Registration cards cut off date for issue is January 1st. Cards applied for will be issued in April and will be valid for 15 months. BR suggested North West to issue "applied for" cards. BR suggested a questionaire be issued giving details of who has applied for registration cards.

DW read insurance policy details to clarify extent of cover.
