Meeting Commenced 2015 hrs
Minutes of last meeting at Rainford North End agreed
Action Points from last meeting: Leaflets with shoot dates produced and handed out by Terry Mann
Matters Arising from last meeting: Competitions
Christine suggested that we have a 1st 2nd and 3rd in every grade,
the competitors to be awarded certificates. We also adopt a points
system for the competitors
- 1st place 5 points
- 2nd place 3 points
- 3rd place 1 point
At the end of the season the points are converted to pounds £1 per
point or the competitor can have a trophy to the same value. Agreed by everyone.
Davinia will sort out the certificates, to be given out on the day.
Christine will produce a graph of trophy accrued points
Shoot offs: Complaints have been made re shoot offs. It was proposed by
Steve Pemberton that if both people involved in a shoot off go home, we
take the best of the last 5 targets, if both have the same score take the
best of the last ten targets. Seconded by Roy Richards, voted unanimous.
Qualifying shoots: Tony proposed that we have no set number of shoots to
qualify, but only 5 shoots in the winter and 6 shoots in the summer count.
Seconded by Terry Mann, voted unanimous.
Update on Grand Prix: Bernard and Christine will take 3 days off over
weekend period with Dave Fairhurst to sort out course. Mary Bellamy will possibly
help re Stats Mary and Christine to sort stats out. Bernard suggested we have a
leader board for each grade to help shooters keep track of their position in
the competition. A good idea Bernard and Harry Bellamy to sort this out.
Publication of contact name and addresses: Some complaints over the article
in Air Gun World regarding the publication of incorrect contact details. This information
was placed by the BFTA. Tony to compile current list and forward to BFTA for future
publications.
Measuring targets before NWFTA competitions: Complaints have been received
regarding over ranged targets at NWFTA shoots. It was decided that as a standard
should any target be questioned Bernard Rodgers range finder be used to check the
distance. The subsequent measure to be binding, and final. If for what ever reason
the range finder is not available, a tape should be used.
Side Shoots at NWFTA Competitions: Some new members have complained that
they get bored of waiting their turn at competitions. Tony suggested that side
shoots be introduced. It was pointed that this had been tried in the past, and
shooters did not take advantage of the extra activities. It was decided that side
shoots would be at the discretion of the hosting team.
Report from Byley: No complaints a good shoot.
Any other business: Next BFTA meeting on 16th June 2002 will take place at
Doveridge. Stockport now have food on. Steve Pemberton to drop of leaflets re a good
place for filling air bottles.
Next Meeting Tuesday 25th June 2002 at Rainford North End.
