It will take you back in time to visit once again the cinemas of Warrington: The Cameo, the Ritz, the Grand Super Cinema with its double seats, the Premier and the Picturedrome, the Odeon and the Empire.
Where did they hold the Pig and Turkey Raffle?
Were you one of the children who ran alongside the elephants in the streets of Warrington?
What was the Cabbage Special? Can you remember the old market?
See again the friendly market traders in the days when it was one of the countrys' busiest markets, hear the stall holders reminisce- 'They tore the heart from the town when they closed the old market down' See the newly opened market in 1974 and shoppers in the old fishmarket.
Can you remember what Golden Square was like? or even driving down Sankey Street before pedestrianisation and the demolition of its shops.
In 1977 the go-ahead has been given to hold more than 400 street parties throughout the borough and despite police reservations a thumbs up is also given for a procession which will be more than a mile long as part of the towns' jubilee celebrations. watch it all again as thousands line the route as the parade winds through the town to Victoria Park.
