The 2005 safety survey was carried out by volunteers from the Parish Council. The list below shows those memorial stones, which in the opinion of the inspection team, are a potential risk to cemetery visitors and require attention as shown.

5 memorial stones were laid down by the inspection team as being too unstable to be left standing.
2 Stones were found to be already lying down.
7 stones are in need of urgent attention and may be laid down if action is not taken.
16 memorials which have more than one piece of stone need joint attention.
23 more are in need attention.
6 stones are loose but were considered safe.

Maintenance and care of the memorials is the responsibility of the family or friend of the person remembered on the stone. We ask you please to inspect the list below to see if a stone in your care has been identified as needing attention. We also ask you please to draw the list to the attention of non residents or notify the Parish Clerk if you know of any person who has an interest in a memorial identified as defective.

Before work is carried out to repair any memorial you must make contact with the Parish Clerk. For the safety of all visitors to the cemetery we must insist that all repairs are carried out by a competent Stone Mason. No work is permitted to the memorials without the consent of the Parish Council.
