Freedom of Information Act - Publication Scheme Under the Freedom of Information Act it is a duty of every public authority to adopt and maintain a publication scheme. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has changed the emphasis in the approval and operation of publication schemes, the model scheme prepared by the ICO was adopted by this Council at their meeting on 13th November 2008. It is no longer a requirement that we publish the scheme but we are required to make available our 'Guide to Proactively Published Information' that guide can be downloaded as a Word Document by clicking on the above link. The guide is also available in paper format from the Parish Clerk, see contacts page or on the notice board inside the village hall. The information below relates to the original publication scheme. |
